Pola-la-la-love

Now that Polaroid isn't going anywhere (best news ever) I have since tracked down a Polaroid 600 on Craigslist to have some fun with (though the film hasn't gotten much cheaper since the going-out-of-business scare). In the meantime, I stumbled upon this random guy's flickr photostream...his name is Peter Breuer and his collection of SX70 Polaroids use expired film and they are AMAZING. Check them out below. They are so surreal...the close up of the pickle is so soft-focus/dreamy it looks like a painting.

A new day has dawned

Neat photos of the inauguration and Obama campaign here. This one shows a view from the desk in the Oval Office, with the letter to the 44th president from George Bush....would LOVE to know what it says!

Redesign.

So...I'm redesigning my site like I promised myself (and the world) I would do. The flash site has become too cumbersome and takes too long to load, and as we all know, no one has patience on the internet. The new setup will be far more streamlined and will be easier to flip through. If you visit it now, it's still in need of added work, etc. but you get the feel. I'll announce it when it's all finished!

I can't waaaiiiiit!!!!!!

...And I wanna wield it.

I don't know why I feel like posting this...but to me, this is what graphic design is all about. See if this doesn't light a fire under your ass, I don't know what will.

BAGGU: i just like saying it!

I stumbled upon BAGGU bags on the Cool Hunting 2008 gift guide and just thought they were super handy. I bought a few for my sister for Christmas, seeing as she's always toting laundry, beer, or boxes of wine across campus [ha] and got one for myself as well. Made of ripstop nylon, they come in three different sizes and are durable, wipeable, and just fun to carry. The insane range of colors and the brand image remind me a lot of American Apparel [but in bag form...and without the big price tag]. The regular sized bags are only $8 and come in the widest variety of colors.
