Friday Links: Super Bowl Edition

The Super Bowl is one of those things that's so ubiquitous, it can make even the most disinterested person a football fan for a day. Maybe it's the commercials, maybe it's the food (okay it's definitely the food), but I find myself not wanting to miss any part of it. Call it fear of missing out (or #FOMO if you're into that) but I'll definitely be glued to the TV and stuffing my face this Sunday.

My favorite football spread consists of a well-rounded smorgasbord; you need dips, spicy things, crunchy things, a sweet to top it off, and bonus points if everything is portable. I do sometimes try to fit a veggie in there, but my links today are all about those game day essentials—sorry, vegetables, I'll be back on the wagon on Monday.

This weekend I finally got around to updating the shop a bit. I've been meaning to add a color chart for customizing prints, and now offer Lake Erie Love prints in customizable colors.

Getting Nauti with Kate Spade

Have you seen the nautical goodness at Kate Spade? They have me daydreaming about the east coast and reliving our Maine trip last summer. Definitely craving the warm temperatures and counting down the days till our next getaway...

After receiving the black/macchiato version of the Beau bag for Christmas, I think the small version of this striped wonder is going to be at the top of my summer wishlist.

Happy 2014!

Happy New Year, everyone! Who's excited for a fresh start? Even though 2013 was a great year, I'm still relishing in the excitement of a clean slate. I think many great things are to come.

I don't make resolutions for the year, per se, but I do take time to set some goals that are achievable on a daily or weekly basis. I've found that those small promises are easier to keep and lead to more long-term lifestyle changes, which are really more effective in the long run. For example, I had a vague goal last year to get in shape (who doesn't) and I promised myself I would hit up a class once a week. When I started, I ended up loving my new routine so much that I couldn't live without several yoga or barre classes per week. It just became a part of me and I didn't feel healthy and "me" without it. That's when I knew this change was for good. I'm proud of how my lifestyle has improved and am excited to keep it up, and reach even higher, this upcoming year.

I would love to know if you have your own secrets about fulfilling resolutions. Did you make some this year, and how do you plan on tackling them?
